places i may have been
18 x 18” acrylic, mixed media on wood panel
This series of paintings reflects a combination of my memories of real places and vivid, often surreal scenes drawn from dreams. They blend familiar feelings and emotions while weaving together past memories and fleeting visions. For me, each one has a familiarity of a single point through an adventure. It’s difficult to say with certainty where the line between reality and imagination ultimately lies. What I am sure of is that these places did not fully exist before. They were created through a process of feeling, discovery, and artistic exploration.
